Book Talk with Leslie Sussan
FFNCA member Leslie Sussan will talk about her book Choosing Life about her father's journey in film from Hollywood to Hiroshima. Her presentation will introduce the true story of Leslie's, father's crew which shot the only color film footage of the aftermath of the atomic bombings and its suppression by the US Government for decades. Mari Clarke will be giving a Powerpoint presentation on her work with the World Bank on a rural roads project over the past decade as well as some photos from the trip that she and David did together in Northern Vietnam. This will give you images from many parts of Vietnam as well as a sense of what it is that she does on gender issues for road projects, which continues to be a mystery for many people.

FFNCA members are invited to join in an evening walk to view the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin on Sunday, 3/27/22. On Saturday, April 23 you may join Susan Gartner and a group of volunteers in Reston to remove English Ivy and help restore native habitat. We will work with the Reston Associates environmental resource staff to remove this invasive plant between 10 am and 12 Noon. Harpers Ferry Outing jointly with the Harrisburg Club
